What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant damaging the garage door and card entry reader, and substantially interfering with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 16, 2017. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,746 for the cost of replacing the damaged property, $44.83 per day for compensation for use of the unit from September 6, 2017 to the move-out date, and $190 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 16, 2017, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting September 17, 2017. If the unit is not vacated by September 16, 2017, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
