What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 25, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,952.12 (less any payments made after the application was filed) by February 25, 2023, which includes rent arrears, the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest. If the unit is not vacated by February 25, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant will also owe $25.28 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting February 15, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
