What happened

The Tenant applied to the Landlord and Tenant Board for an order determining that the Landlords: a) gave a notice of termination in bad faith; b) substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex; c) withheld or deliberately interfered with the reasonable supply of a vital service (heat); and d) have collected or retained money illegally.

The ruling

The parties were unable to reach a resolution during the Case Management Hearing, and a merits hearing has been scheduled for January 6, 2016. The Tenant is directed to produce relevant evidence and witness lists to the Landlords by November 16, 2016, and the Landlords are directed to produce their evidence and witness lists to the Tenant by December 7, 2016.
