What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed, as well as NSF cheque charges and related administration charges. The Tenants had vacated the rental unit on April 30, 2021, prior to the hearing date.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $3,400.00 in rent arrears, $108.00 in NSF cheque charges, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the full amount is not paid by November 13, 2021, the Tenants will start owing interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
