What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to alleged illegal act of growing more than the legal limit of cannabis plants in the rental unit. Tenants claimed they had a valid medical cannabis production license.

The ruling

The Landlords' application to terminate the tenancy is denied, subject to conditions that the Tenants fully comply with the terms of their medical cannabis production license and allow the Landlord to enter the rental unit with proper notice. If the Tenants fail to comply with these conditions within 12 months, the Landlord may apply to terminate the tenancy.
