What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The request to review the original order CEL-90596-19 issued on January 29, 2020 is denied. The original order is confirmed and remains unchanged. The interim order issued on February 7, 2020 is cancelled and the stay of the original order is lifted. The Board shall pay the Landlord the amount of $1,243.58 together with any accrued interest.
