What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also applied to terminate the tenancy due to substantial interference by the Tenants or someone they permitted in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 20, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,895.25 in rent arrears and compensation, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $47.67 per day in compensation starting April 1, 2021 until they vacate the unit. If the Tenants pay the full amount owing by April 11, 2021, they can void the eviction order and continue the tenancy.
