What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the rental unit and substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 30, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,030 for the cost of repairing the damage and $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 30, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
