What happened

Landlords applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants claimed they overpaid $3,000 but did not have a receipt to prove it.

The ruling

The Tenants owe the Landlords $2,390.70, which includes rent arrears up to December 2, 2022 and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by September 17, 2023, they will start owing interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
