What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 23, 2022. The Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,860.43 in compensation for occupation of the unit from February 28 to June 15, 2022, and $17.39 per day from June 16, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant must also pay the $186 application filing fee. If the full amount is not paid by September 23, 2022, the Tenant will owe 3% annual interest on the outstanding balance.
