What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant's employment as superintendent has ended. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated as of September 13, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before September 13, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by September 13, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding starting September 14, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by September 13, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement starting September 14, 2021.
