What happened

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of May 31, 2020, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,377.41, which represents the amount of rent owing and compensation up to May 31, 2020, as well as $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by June 21, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
