What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant or a person permitted in the residential complex by the Tenant seriously impairing the safety of another person. The Landlord submitted evidence of the Tenant hosting multiple social gatherings in violation of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
The ruling
The tenancy was terminated effective August 10, 2021. The Tenant was ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the amount owing by August 10, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
