What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord sent the Tenants an N12 notice of termination, and the Tenants argued that the notice was retaliatory due to their maintenance complaints and applications to the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2022. The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants is granted.
