What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on June 18, 2021 with respect to application HOL-08651-20.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 24, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $986.00 for rent arrears and application fee, plus $73.97 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting August 14, 2021 until the Tenants move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 24, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
