What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The previous order required the Tenant to pay $7,500 by December 15, 2020 and $400 arrears by December 20, 2020, which the Tenant did not do.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 7, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $17,365 in rent arrears and application costs, plus $60.82 per day in compensation starting January 28, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 7, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
