What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 5, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $4,138 for rent arrears and application costs, less the rent deposit. The Tenants must also pay $54.25 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting September 25, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by October 5, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
