What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 9, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,901.11, which includes rent arrears up to June 30, 2021 and the previous application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $33.67 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting July 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 9, 2021, interest will accrue at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
