What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice of Termination, which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay $596.64 to the Landlord, representing the amount of rent owing to November 30, 2020, and $175.00 for the cost of filing the application, on or before February 2, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing on or before February 2, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding from February 3, 2021.
