What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The tenants had not vacated the rental unit as of the hearing date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 20, 2022 unless the Tenants pay $7,751.00 to void the order. If the Tenants do not make this payment, they must vacate the unit by February 20, 2022 and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenants also owe $4,989.48 plus $54.25 per day starting February 10, 2022.
