What happened

Landlord applied to terminate tenancy and evict Tenant due to illegal act and serious impairment of safety. Tenant allegedly assaulted another tenant in the residential complex on October 14, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 1, 2022. The Tenant must pay $5,675.72 to the Landlord, which includes compensation for use of the unit, application filing costs, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $28.98 per day from August 19, 2022 until move-out.
