What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant causing undue damage to the rental unit and substantially interfering with the Landlord's lawful rights and privileges.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 27, 2022. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $24,478.20 for the cost of repairing the damage and $22,306.08 for compensation for use of the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 27, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by February 27, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
