What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Landlord sold the rental unit on March 8, 2021, and the Landlord requested to amend the application to collect rent arrears only up to that date.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $3,246.95 in rent arrears and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by July 13, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
