What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2023. The Tenant must pay $2,184.71 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears up to January 20, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $55.86 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting January 21, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
