What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order regarding rent payment. The Tenant failed to pay the full amount of $1,616.17 towards outstanding arrears by the specified date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by January 23, 2023. The Tenant is ordered to pay $2,657.77 to the Landlord, plus $36.37 per day from January 13, 2023, until the unit is vacated. If the Tenant does not pay by January 23, 2023, interest will be charged at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
