What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants had significant rent arrears and the Landlords served a valid Notice of Termination.

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective January 31, 2021. The Tenants were ordered to pay $23,632 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears, compensation, and the application filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenants did not pay the full amount by January 31, 2021, the Landlords could file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
