What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenants have been late paying rent 6 times over a one-year period.

The ruling

The Adjudicator granted relief from eviction, subject to the Tenants paying rent on time going forward. The Tenants must pay rent by the 1st of each month from June 2021 to May 2022. If the Tenants fail to make any of these payments, the Landlords may apply to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants. The Tenants must also pay the $186 application fee.
