What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to wilful or negligent damage to the premises, committing an illegal act, and seriously impairing the safety of other persons in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 15, 2021. The Tenants must vacate the unit by that date and pay the Landlord $627.15 for repair costs, $2,250.60 in compensation for use of the unit after the termination date, and $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 15, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
