What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent owed. The residential complex was sold on April 20, 2022, but the agreement stipulated that rental arrears prior to the closing date remain the property of the Landlord. The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $4,266.78, which includes rent arrears up to April 20, 2022, and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 31, 2022, interest will start accruing at 3.00% annually from September 1, 2022.
