What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite proper service of notice. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $15,336.00 by November 13, 2022. If not voided, the Tenant must move out by November 13, 2022, and pay $12,923.98 plus $36.16 per day from October 26, 2022, until move-out. The Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting November 14, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
