What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed, as well as NSF cheque charges and related administration charges.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $10,000.00, which represents the amount of rent owing up to October 31, 2020, and $270.00, which represents the total charges related to NSF cheques tendered to the Landlord by or on behalf of the Tenants. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before January 19, 2021, the Tenants will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
