What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed, as well as NSF cheque charges and related administration charges. The application was resolved by order CEL-94491-20 issued on January 8, 2021. The Tenants requested a review of the order, which was heard on April 14, 2021.

The ruling

Order CEL-94491-20 issued on January 8, 2021 is cancelled and replaced. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $5,500.00 in rent arrears up to September 30, 2020, and $190.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by April 30, 2021, they will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. The Board shall pay the Tenants $58.00 for the cost of the review.
