What happened

Tenants filed a T5 application alleging the landlord gave a notice of termination in bad faith. The application was initially dismissed when the tenants did not attend the case management hearing. The tenants requested a review, stating they were unable to reasonably participate in the hearing as they were on vacation at the time and did not receive the notice.

The ruling

The review request is granted. Order TNT-24163-20 issued on 2020-03-10 is cancelled, and the application will be heard de novo on a new date.
