What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to allegations of wilful damage to the rental unit, inconsistent use of the rental unit, and serious impairment of safety. The Landlords alleged that a police search of the rental unit resulted in the seizure of weapons and drugs, and that the Tenants were charged with related criminal offences.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by November 14, 2021. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlords $201 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the amount owed by the due date, they will start accruing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
