What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Tenants had paid all arrears for the period ending August 31, 2021 after the application was filed, but the only amount outstanding was the Landlord's cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The order is limited to the Landlord's cost of filing the application, which the Tenants are ordered to pay. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by November 15, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
