What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous order. The Tenant failed to pay $608.33 towards arrears by October 20, 2021, and failed to pay full lawful monthly rent by November 1, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 15, 2022. The Tenant must pay $8,021.67 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to January 4, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $78.90 per day from January 5, 2022 until they vacate the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 15, 2022, interest will be charged, and the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
