What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay $700 in costs and arrears by June 30, 2021 and failed to pay the lawful rent of $675 on July 1, 2021 as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The previous order SWL-47346-20 is cancelled. The tenancy is terminated and the Tenant must vacate the unit by August 9, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,639.44, which includes rent arrears up to July 29, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $22.19 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting July 30, 2021 until the Tenant vacates.
