What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 3, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $4,960.50, which includes rent arrears up to April 22, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $39.60 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting April 23, 2021 until they move out. If the full amount is not paid by May 3, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
