What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex wilfully causing undue damage to the premises.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by January 3, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $8,500 for the cost of repairing the damages and $186 for the application filing fee, for a total of $8,686. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 3, 2023, the Tenant will start owing interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
