What happened
Tenant filed T6 application alleging Landlords failed to meet maintenance obligations regarding rodent infestation. Tenant also filed T1 application claiming Landlords illegally retained last month's rent deposit and partial December rent after Tenant moved out on December 21, 2019.
The ruling
The Board dismissed both the T6 and T1 applications filed by the Tenant. The Landlords were found to have taken reasonable measures to address the rodent issue, and were entitled to retain the last month's rent deposit and December rent as the tenancy was not properly terminated by the Tenant.
