What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because Landlords require possession of the rental unit for residential occupation. Landlords served an N12 Notice of Termination with a termination date of November 30, 2021. The Board determined that Landlords genuinely intend to live in the rental unit for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2022. Tenants must vacate by this date. Tenants owe $261.62 for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 to January 5, 2022, less rent deposit and interest. Tenants must also pay $53.75 per day from January 6, 2022 until they move out. If Tenants don't vacate by April 30, 2022, Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting May 1, 2022.
