What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 9, 2021. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before November 30, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,283.15, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from June 10, 2021 to September 3, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $78.84 per day for compensation for the use of the unit from September 4, 2021 to the date the Tenant moves out of the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by November 30, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
