What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 7, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,771.62 (less any amount paid after the application was filed) for rent arrears and the previous application fee. The Tenant must also pay $44.88 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting January 28, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 7, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
