What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued by the LTB on November 3, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 7, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,250.39, which includes rent arrears up to March 27, 2023 and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 7, 2023, they will start owing interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
