What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant or a guest of the Tenant wilfully or negligently causing undue damage to the rental unit and residential complex. The Landlord also applied for an order requiring the Tenant to compensate the Landlord for the damage.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 30, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $9,927.05 for the repair costs and $186 for the application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 20, 2021, they will owe interest starting December 1, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by November 30, 2021, the Landlord can file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
