What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to obtain renter's insurance and pay utility bills, which substantially interfered with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 2, 2022. The Tenants must move out by that date. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the application fee. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owed by December 6, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. If the unit is not vacated by January 2, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
