What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant substantially interfering with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant, and because the Tenant or another occupant of the rental unit has committed an illegal act or has carried out, or permitted someone to carry out an illegal trade, business or occupation in the rental unit or the residential complex involving the production of an illegal drug, the trafficking in an illegal drug or the possession of an illegal drug for the purposes of trafficking.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 14, 2021. The Tenant must move out by that date and pay the Landlord $8,518.64, which includes compensation for use of the unit, the application fee, and interest if the amount is not paid by the due date. If the unit is not vacated by June 14, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
