What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the rental unit is the superintendent's premises and the Tenant's employment as superintendent has ended. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 28, 2023. The Tenant must pay $5,622.48 for the period from September 27, 2022 to January 18, 2023, and $49.32 per day thereafter until vacating the unit. If the Tenant does not move out by February 28, 2023, the Landlord can file for eviction enforcement starting March 1, 2023.
