What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to pay rent as ordered in a previous LTB decision.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 15, 2020. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $11,763.00 in rent arrears (less any amount paid after the application was filed) and $43.73 per day in compensation for use of the unit from April 1, 2020 until the date they move out. If the full amount is not paid by August 15, 2020, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
