What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective October 25, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $2,240.27, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $70.68 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting October 15, 2021 until they vacate. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by October 25, 2021, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
